SAM MAIDA, JR.
Sam A. Maida, Jr. is the owner and the managing attorney of the Maida Law Firm and has been practicing law since 1993. He graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin in 1989 and subsequently graduated from the nationally recognized and a leading law school in Trial Advocacy, South Texas College of Law Houston, with a Juris Doctorate in 1993. While in Law School, Sam A. Maida, Jr. was awarded “Best Speaker” and his trial team was a semi-finalist in the Fisher, Gallagher and Lewis Mock Trial competition. Sam A. Maida, Jr. began his career by gaining extensive experience trying cases to a Jury from his first week of practicing law as a Harris County, Texas Assistant Prosecutor from 1993 to 1995 when he left to open The Maida Law Firm.
Sam A. Maida, Jr. has been successfully representing victims of personal injury matters, such as 18 wheeler and auto accidents ever since, and he especially enjoys holding trucking companies and their big corporations responsible for violations of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and causing injury and sometimes destroying or ending the lives of his law firm’s clients. Maida, Jr. handles cases all over Texas and in other states have recently settled a case in Pecos, Texas for a total of $2,000,000.00, another near Monroe, Louisiana and several others here in Houston, Harris County, Texas, each for confidential seven-figure amounts respectively. Ms. Margaret “Maggie” Solomon joined the firm in 2015. She began her career as an underwriter for a small insurance company based out of Dallas, Texas. She started her legal career working at a small Houston firm where she was responsible for case maintenance and management of complex multiparty suits involving issues of Bank Fraud and Civil RICO. Throughout her career, Ms. Solomon worked for multiple mid-sized defense firms in Houston and Beaumont, Texas where she managed the defense of products liability claims, gross negligence claims and premise liability claims for multiple clients.
Ms. Solomon is responsible for the pre-litigation docket at the Maida Law Firm.
Ms. Solomon is a Senior Fellow in the American Leadership Forum. As a fourth-generation Texan, Ms. Solomon knows the importance of a strong community and is an active volunteer with multiple non-profit organizations throughout Houston.
Ms. Solomon attended the University of Texas and graduated in 1992 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a minor in Classical Civilizations. She then attended the University of Oklahoma, College of Law in Norman, Oklahoma to obtain her Juris Doctorate in 1995 and was admitted to practice law in Texas in 2000. She is also licensed to practice in the State of Oklahoma and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas.

He most recently was instrumental in the successful investigation and defense as trial counsel on behalf of Halliburton in the massive Multi-District Litigation and trial arising out of the BP Macondo/MODU DEEPWATER HORIZON tragedy and oil spill.
His experience in commercial litigation includes disputes over intellectual property matters, joint operating agreements, fiduciary claims, partnership agreements, employment disputes, and failed real estate transactions.
Mr. von Sternberg has handled arbitration, litigation, and trials in Florida, Louisiana, New Mexico, New York, Oklahoma, Texas and appeals through the Texas Appellate Courts, the Federal Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.
GABRIEL DE VEGA
Gabriel de Vega is a part of the Maida Law Firm’s litigation department and has been practicing Personal Injury Law since 2009. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science from the University of Houston in 2006 and subsequently graduated from the University of Houston Law Center with a Juris Doctorate in 2009. While in Law School, Gabriel de Vega was a member of the Law School’s Houston Journal of Health Law & Policy. He was also a recipient of the Ewer-Oren J.D. Health Law Writing Award for his article “Should Websites be Covered By The Americans With Disabilities Act? A Brief Look At Why Websites Ought To Be Covered By The ADA As Places Of Public Accommodation.”
Gabriel de Vega received his license to practice law in November of 2009 and has been fighting to obtain just results for those who have been seriously injured ever since. He is federally licensed in the Western and Southern District of Texas.
